ALL PETS VISIT AT THEIR OWN RISK: Pets are at risk of but not limited to: Nicks, scrapes, punctures, bites, Sore joints and muscles, strained tendons/ligaments, fractures, fatigue, behavioral changes, gastrointestinal upsets, respiratory infections, viruses, bacteria, and more. Client understands day care and boarding poses certain risks including contagions, illness, parasites, and injury to property, Client's pet, other animals, and to people. Client voluntarily assumes all risks associated with Client's pet related to its presence on Walter's Pet Styles (“WPS”) property, including, but not limited to, bites, scratches, transmission of disease, parasites, and more. Walter's Pet Styles shall not be held responsible monetarily, legally, or otherwise, for injuries related to presence of Client's pet at WPS which may arise in the course of play, by the presence or actions of other animals, or any caused by Client's pet. Client shall make no claim against and/or indemnify WPS for any costs, damages, claims, or expenses that may result from any injury while in the presence of Walter's Pet Styles. While WPS takes every reasonable precaution to ensure that all animals in its care are healthy and safe, Client recognizes that incidents will happen whenever animals socialize together and WPS is not responsible for these incidents. Furthermore, Walter's Pet Styles is not liable for injuries or illness that any animal may incur while in its care. *

GROOMING: Client understands and agrees that pet grooming is an art, not a science, and style is subject to individual preference. While Client may request same-day alterations, if possible and within regular grooming hours, Walter's Pet Styles will not guarantee satisfaction, and therefore will not extend any refunds or credits according to satisfaction. The number one concern of any pet in the care of Walter's Pet Styles is its well-being. Client understands Walter's Pet Styles prides itself on safety, but unexpected and accidental nicks, scrapes, brush burns, bleeding, and more, can occur and may be unavoidable. Client agrees that Walter's Pet Styles shall not be responsible monetarily, legally, or otherwise for injuries to Client's pet associated with bathing or grooming. Client shall make no claim against and/or indemnify WPS for any associated costs, damages, claims, or expenses. Walter's Pet Styles will not actively promote stress to animal. Client's pet may be shaved down if condition of hair/fur is matted/tangled/knotted and incapable of dematting without causing stress or pain to the animal. Furthermore, Client's pet may be shaved down for reasons of health and well-being, or any reason whatsoever. WPS reserves the right to refuse service to any pets for any reason, especially when WPS considers a pet in poor maintenance or neglectful state by actions or inactions of its owner(s) or caregiver(s). *

BEHAVIOR: Walter's Pet Styles reserves the right to refuse use of its facilities and to rescind any memberships for animals which, in its sole determination, are deemed unhealthy; aggressive; undisciplined; or have evidence of behavior that may be considered dangerous to themselves, other animals, or people. *

VACCINATIONS: Client is solely responsible for providing Walter's Pet Styles updated vaccination records and/or certificates in accordance with the laws of New York State and New York City, including NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. Failure to maintain current health records and/or certificate of vaccination may result in a suspension of use of the Walter's Pet Styles facility. Client is fully responsible for any fines associated with lack of proper documentation. *

FOOD and ALLERGIES: Although Walter's Pet Styles accommodates a variety of diets, WPS will not be held responsible for any cross-contamination of food nor any allergy-related manifestations and/or reactions. WPS provides feedings upon request within specific schedules. Client will pre-portion all dry or wet/dry-mix feedings in accordance with current policy and label all food items for its intended recipient. Upon Client request, WPS may offer meals at the discretion of WPS staff and management for additional fees. *

SPAY/NEUTER: All pets must be spayed/neutered if they are older than eight (8) months of age for any services except grooming. Intact pets older than eight months of age will not be allowed to use the WPS facility for daycare or overnight services, unless permission granted solely by WPS management. *

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT: Walter's Pet Styles reserves the right to limit usage if Client refuses or fails to comply with any health or safety rule. WPS is not liable for any illness and/or ailment that my animal(s) may incur while in the presence of WPS. *

EMERGENCY CARE: In the event of an emergency, Walter's Pet Styles will first attempt to contact Client by phone number provided on file, then contact any emergency contact numbers on file. Walter's Pet Styles may consult any veterinarian for treatment and/or guidance. If a pet should require immediate veterinary attention, WPS is authorized to use the services of any available veterinarian. Client is responsible for any and all charges related to such veterinary care. Client authorizes the use of Client's credit card in such an event and will maintain a valid credit card on file. Client is solely responsible for ensuring emergency contact records are up to date. *

FEEDING: Walter's Pet Style offers feedings on a pre-determined schedule, according to a policy that is subject to change. Walter's Pet Styles will make reasonable efforts to accommodate diet requests during Client's pet's visit. Walter's Pet Styles must be informed by Client of any and all food restrictions and/or allergies. Although Walter's Pet Styles will make every effort to prevent food-related incidents, WPS is not responsible or liable for any cross-contamination of food. Client may provide food, pre-portioned for each meal, in accordance with feeding policy. Client must request refrigeration as needed for wet, perishable foods. If client chooses Walter's Pet Styles to provide meals, Client agrees to pay additional fees at prevailing rates. Walter's Pet Styles recommends Client feeds pet at home for non-boarding visits. *

RELIEF WALKS: Relief walks are for purposes of elimination, not neighborhood strolls. Dogs are walked with slip-leads and/or walking belts deemed appropriate by Walter's Pet Styles for maximum safety. No exceptions to these safety precautions will be made except in the case of medical conditions that prohibits its use. Exemptions will be granted only by Client's expressed, written consent. Dogs that are walked individually due to certain behaviors or at Client's wish will be subject to additional fees. Walter's Pet Styles offers relief walks on a pre-determined schedule. *

CHECK-IN / DROP-OFF GUIDELINES: Client is fully responsible for the integrity and security of Client's pet's leash, harness, carrier, etc., while checking in for services. If client allows pet to run freely near door, Client is solely responsible for escape and associated risks. Client understands other animals may be present during check-in, and it is the sole responsibility of Client to manage behavior. Boarding Clients must arrange drop-off during normal business hours. Day care rates apply within certain timeframes. Grooming Clients must drop-off prior to scheduled appointment to avoid late fees or cancellations by WPS. *

CHECK-OUT / PICK-UP GUIDELINES: Client is fully responsible for the integrity and security of Client's pet's leash, harness, carrier, etc., while checking out for services. If client allows pet to run freely near door, Client is solely responsible for escape and associated risks. Client understands other animals may be present during check-out, and it is the sole responsibility of Client to manage behavior. After regular business closing hours, Extended Hours rates go into effect. Pets not picked up during Extended Hours will be boarded at a premium and available for pick-up at the opening of the next business day. These rules will be strictly enforced. Client must maintain a valid credit card on file for these service rates. *

RESERVATIONS and APPOINTMENTS: Client is required to pre-pay for services and must commit to reservations in accordance with policy. There will be a strictly enforced, non-refundable cancellation fee of 100% of the service(s) which were to be rendered if Client cancels or no-shows on the day of the appointment, without proper notice prior to scheduled opening hours, and payment will be forfeited. Inclement weather is not an excuse for same-day cancellation. Client understands and agrees that the cancellation policy is very lenient and meant to discourage same-day cancellations and no-shows, which cause monetary loss to business and staff. If Client is unable to commit to the scheduled appointment, Client must inform Walter's Pet Styles prior to that day's scheduled business hours to avoid a cancellation fee. Client may reschedule for a later date with no penalty. Payments made to Walter's Pet Styles will be held as store credit for Client's redemption with future services. *

REFUNDS: Client acknowledges and agrees to: No refunds All sales are final Store Credit Only (purchased items must be returned within 5 days with receipt for eligibility) Returned checks and declined credit cards are subject to a $100 penalty or a fee of 20% of my current charges (whichever is higher) *

DAMAGED and LOST PROPERTY: Walter's Pet Styles is not liable or responsible for any loss or damage that may occur to Client's private property, including but not limited to, pet's leash, collar, harness, toy(s), or other items while on premises. Client may choose to keep property on person to avoid loss or damage. WPS holds items as a courtesy only. *

STORE RESTRICTIONS: Due to excessive liability only WPS employees shall be allowed to descend the staircase or enter the basement. Client is NOT allowed downstairs for any reason whatsoever during any hours without scheduled and personally guided tours at and by the discretion of WPS management. If Client fails to comply with this rule, future use of services may be suspended. *

MARKETING MATERIAL: Client agrees to allow Walter's Pet Styles to use Client's pet's image/picture/likeness in any marketing and/or promotional material to promote the services and sales of WPS. Client agrees to allow WPS to use Client's pet's image/picture/likeness on any and all media platforms. *
