OUR GROOMING STYLE
is best described as patient and meticulous. Our groomers have been styling Manhattan’s furry friends for more than 50 combined years. We specialize in scissoring, hand-stripping, and cat grooming. Ask for a breed specific cut, puppy cut, or customize to your liking.
HOW OFTEN?
Because our city pets are constantly exposed to dirt, grime, and harmful bacteria that can damage their coats and skin, we recommend grooming every 4-6 weeks and bathing (with a proper brush out!) approximately every 10 days by a professional. In addition to thorough brushing at home, regular salon visits allow us to keep a closer eye on the condition and well-being of your pet, prevent matting, and more.

Handstripping
For wire-haired and certain double-coated breeds, handstripping is the preferred grooming method to maintain a healthy, vibrant coat. Unlike clipping, which can alter texture and color, hand-stripping involves manually removing dead hairs to encourage natural growth and preserve the coat’s protective qualities. This skillset is offered only by experienced groomers due to the labor-intensive and specialized nature of the process.
To achieve the best results, we only offer hand-stripping to clients on a recurring schedule. For dogs new to the process or those who haven’t been stripped in the last three months, we carefully establish a proper pattern to support healthy coat growth and maintenance.
